I happen to think that the singular evil of our time is prejudice. It is from this evil that all other evils grow and multiply. In almost everything I've written there is a thread of this: a man's seemingly palpable need to dislike someone other than himself.
Prejudice against impersonating women and the fear of ridicule are considered to have contributed to the decline in interest of male performers. Perceived lack of feasibility and limited employment opportunities through dance are other reasons. I have a dance school and only three in a class of 200 students are male

Travel is fatal to Prejudice.
Ask a deeply religious Christian if he’d rather live next to a bearded Muslim that may or may not be plotting a terror attack, or an atheist that may or may not show him how to set up a wireless network in his house. On the scale of Prejudice, atheists don’t seem so bad lately.scott adams
Much of the Prejudice against Islam in the West stems from a lack of understanding of the true nature of Islam as a religion professed by 1.4 billion people in the world.
A shop-keeper in good business is quite as well off as a pedlar that travels the country with his wares on his back. Commercial jealousy is, after all, nothing but Prejudice: it is a wild fruit, that will drop of itself when it has arrived at maturity.jean-baptiste say
There is a notion that complete impartiality is the most fitting and indeed the normal disposition for true exegesis , because it guarantees complete absence of Prejudice. For a short time, around 1910, this idea threatened to achieve almost a canonical status in Protestant theology. But now, we can quite calmly describe it as merely comical.Karl Barth
I believe that fallen creatures perish, perish for ever, for only good can live, and good has not been theirs; but how durst men forge our Saviour's words "eternal death " into so horrible a meaning? And even if he did use other words, and seem to countenance such a meaning for them (and what witness have we that He did, except that of men whose ignorance or Prejudice might well have interpreted these words wrongly as they did so many others?)james anthony froude
There are, and always have been, destructive pseudo-scientific notions linked to race and religion; these are the most widespread and damaging. Hopefully, educated people can succeed in shedding light into these areas of Prejudice and ignorance, for as Voltaire once said: "Men will commit atrocities as long as they believe absurdities."martin gardner
"Trade has ever been the extinguisher of war, the eradicator of Prejudice, the diffuser of knowledge."henry george
There is no debt with so much Prejudice put off as that of justice.Plutarch
The world has recently been treated for nearly a decade to the unusual spectacle of a great empire deliberately taking every possible step to secure its own destruction, because its citizens were so obsessed by Prejudice, or incapable of thinking for themselves, as never to perform the few logical steps necessary for proving that they would shortly be involved in a guerre à outrance , which could be neither averted nor escaped.enoch powell
“Scientific method isn't about winning popularity contests. It's also not about being with the majority opinion. It isn't supposed be determined by politics. It is about attempting to limit bias or Prejudice in the results.”david a. ridenour
Our great democracies still tend to think that a stupid man is more likely to be honest than a clever man, and our politicians take advantage of this Prejudice by pretending to be even more stupid than nature made them.bertrand russell
At any given moment, public opinion is a chaos of superstition, misinformation, and Prejudice.gore vidal
A hundred years ago or even a couple of generations ago you do not encounter the sort of waving of the bloody shirt of Prejudice that greets you on all sides now. Men did not profess such indignation that other men had differing convictions and viewpoints. They rather expected to encounter these, and to argue with them as best they could.richard weaver
The present difficulty, in bringing all parts of the United States to a happy unity and love of country grows out of the Prejudice to color. The Prejudice is a senseless one, but it exists.
The power to regulate the disposal of property after death ought not to extend to doing it in a manner tending to the Prejudice of the living.
As several distinguished authors of the present age have undertaken to reconcile the world to the Great Man-Killer of Modern times; as Aaron Burr has found an apologist, and almost a eulogist; and as learned commentators have recently discovered that even Judas Iscariot was a true disciple, we are rather surprised to find that some one has not undertaken to render the family of Hyenas popular and amiable in the eyes of mankind. Certain it is, that few marked characters in history have suffered more from the malign inventions of Prejudice.
This misplacing hath caused a deficience, or at least a great improficience in the sciences themselves. For the handling of final causes, mixed with the rest in physical inquiries, hath intercepted the severe and diligent inquiry of all real and physical causes, and given men the occasion to stay upon these satisfactory and specious causes, to the great arrest and Prejudice of further discovery. For this I find done not only by Plato , who ever anchoreth upon that shore, but by Aristotle , Galen , and others which do usually likewise fall upon these flats of discoursing causes.Francis Bacon
Purge me, oh Lord, though it be with fire. Burn up the chaff of vanity and self-indulgence, of hasty Prejudice, second-hand dogmas husks which do not feed my soul, with which I cannot be content, of which I feel ashamed daily and if there be any grain of wheat in me, any word or thought or power of action which may be of use as seed for my nation after me, gather it, oh Lord, into Thy garner.
All of us, no matter from what land our parents came, no matter in what way we may severally worship our Creator, must stand shoulder to shoulder in a united America for the elimination of race and religious Prejudice. We must stand for a reign of equal justice to both big and small. We must insist on the maintenance of the American standard of living.
Finally, the great question would still remain whether we can really dispense with illness even for the sake of our virtue and whether our thirst for knowledge and self-knowledge in particular does not require the sick soul as much as the healthy, and whether, in brief, the will to health alone, is not a Prejudice, cowardice, and perhaps a bit of very subtle barbarism and backwardness.
The Muslim Anarchist Charter rejects absolutely: all forms of violence and political coercion; all forms of racism and Prejudice, including Islamophobia, homophobia and neurelitism.
