Zarathushtra denounced all forms of cruelty , destruction, and hypocrisy . Ahura Mazda was said to create only good and should be worshipped by good thoughts and good deeds only. Adoration was showed to “the supreme” by rhythmic verses called Gathas .
Zorashtrianism is also known as Mazdaism from the name of the Supreme god, Ahura Mazda, and as Magism from the name of its ancient priests, the magi. The Three Wise Men of the Bible are believed to have been Zoroastrian magi, hence the Adoration of the Magi .
Zorashter explained that these other entities (apart from Ahura Mazda] were special gods but special beings created by Ahura Mazda to assist humankind and aid in the battle against evil . He called these beings, which he claimed were still worthy of human adoration, yazatas (which, appropriately enough, means “worthy of adoration”).
