Biological determinism, to paraphrase the great literary critic Roberto Schwarz, is a socially necessary illusion well-grounded in appearance. Much like art and literature, science "is historically shaped and? ... ?registers the social process to which it owes its existence." Scientists inherit the prejudices of the societies in which they live and work. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the modern incarnation of biological determinism with its decidedly neoliberal assumptions about humans and societies.
Earlier legends arising in the region suggest a dynastic conflict mirrored in the devotees of Krishna , the eight peasant Incarnation of Vishnu , and those of Shiva , the god of creation and reproduction , represented with phallic imagery.
Still not satisfied that a qualified prince had been born to the dynasty, Satyavati prevailed upon her son to try a third time. The most destructive criticism has not been able to dethrone Christ as the Incarnation of perfect holiness. The waves of a tossing and restless sea of unbelief break at His feet, and He stands still the supreme model, the inspiration of great souls, the rest of the weary, the fragrance of all Christendom, the one divine flower in the garden of God.herrick johnson
If Christianity were only a development, then Christ was not needed. If Christianity were only a scheme of morals, then the Divine Incarnation was a thing superfluous.herrick johnson
The cross is the centre of the world's history; the Incarnation of Christ and the crucifixion of our Lord are the pivot round which all the events of the ages revolve. The testimony of Christ was the spirit of prophecy, and the growing power of Jesus is the spirit of history.alexander maclaren
Each man in his life honors, and imitates as well as he can, that god to whose choir he belonged, while he is uncorrupted in his first Incarnation here; and in the fashion he has thus learned, he bears himself to his beloved as well as to the rest. So, then, each chooses from among the beautiful a love conforming to his kind, and then, as if his chosen were his god, he sets him up and robes him for worship.mary renault

Greatness by nature includes a power, but not a will to power. ... The great man, whether we comprehend him in the most intense activity of his work or in the restful equipoise of his forces , is powerful, involuntarily and composedly powerful, but he is not avid for power. What he is avid for is the realization of what he has in mind , the Incarnation of the spirit .
His light blue eyes behind his spectacles were like those of a baby who remembers his previous Incarnation and is more amused than dismayed to find himself reborn in new surroundings. He had a baby's vulnerability, which is also the invulnerability of a creature whom one dare not harm.e. m. forster
That in these times every serious person should not in his heart have felt some difliculty with the doctrines of the Incarnation, I cannot helieve. We are not as we were. When Christianity was first published, the imagination of mankind presented the relation of heaven to earth very differently from what it does now.james anthony froude

Vamana Purana is that in which the four faced Brahma taught the three objects of existence , as subservient to the account of the greatness of Trivikrama, which treats also of the Shiva Kalpa , and which consists of ten thousand stanzas. It contains an account of the dwarf Incarnation of Vishnu ; but it is related by Pulastya to Narada , and extends to but about seven thousand stanzas. Its contents can scarcely establish its claim to the character of a Purana.
