Esau sells his birthright for a mess of pottage.
Esausaid,Behold,Iamatthe pointto die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day: and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. At length Jacob came to Isaac his father to Mam´re, to Kir´i·ath-ar´ba, that is to say, He´bron, where Abraham and also Isaac had resided as aliens. And the days of Isaac came to be a hundred and eighty years. After that Isaac expired and died and was gathered to his people, old and satisfied with days, and E´sau and Jacob his sons buried him.
