Bhaava Pujaa, “ Psychic worship (Bhaava Pujaa) consists of a series of rituals , for temple veneration , which is called Caitya vandana. In this worship hymns of praise, adoration and devotion are recited together with the performace of penance and meditation.
We have several parans or rhythmic patterns based on Ganesha , which are recited or sung, along with accompaniment on the tablas . Similarly there are verses dedicated to Siva and Saraswati . There's a special invocation for Krishna , who is the patron saint of kathak dancers
Aphorisms are short, pithy sayings; they are individual passages that can be recited and remain intelligible out of context; they can stand on their own without further support.
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded that I should fight against people till they declare that there is no god but Allah, and when they profess it that there is no god but Allah, their blood and riches are guaranteed protection on my behalf except where it is justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah, and then he (the Holy Prophet) recited (this verse of the Holy Qur'an):" Thou art not over them a warden" (lxxxviii, 22).
Surely this Qur’an is the rope of Allah, and a manifest Light (nur), and a beneficial cure. Therefore, busy yourselves with the recitation of it, for Allah - The Mighty and Glorious – grants the reward of ten good deeds to you for every letter which is recited.
One who listens to the Qur’an (while it is being recited) will be kept away from the evils of this world; and one who recites the Qur’an will be kept away from the trials of the hereafter. And the person who listens to even one verse of the book of Allah - this is better (for him) than possessing a mansion of gold.
Sama Veda is recited while performing a yagna.
The Prophet stood at the well of Badr (which contained the corpses of the pagans) and said, "Have you found true what your lord promised you?" Then he further said, "They now hear what I say." This was mentioned before 'Aisha and she said, "But the Prophet said, 'Now they know very well that what I used to tell them was the truth.' Then she recited (the Holy Verse):-- "You cannot make the dead hear... ...till the end of Verse)." (30.52)
And when the Qur'an is recited, listen to it and remain silent, that mercy may be shown to you. And remember thy Lord within thyself humbly and fearing, and in a voice not loud, in the morning and the evening, and be not of the heedless. Surely those who are with thy Lord are not too proud to serve Him, and they glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him.
